WISHLIST: Dreamy Summer Getaways
Dreaming of your perfect summer getaway?
Roadtrips out of the city & towards the ocean, hours lazing by the pool, hazy days spent to the sound of the sea, that delicious post-sun shower before wandering down for dinner in the golden light of the evening - there is nothing like a summer holiday spent in Australia.
This time of year always feels a little manic as we rush to Christmas, but with two full months of summer left - this is officially your sign to book a few nights at a beautiful regional hotel!
I’ve compiled my wishlist for dreamy summer stays in case you need a little inspo for your next escape:
SUN RANCH, Byron Bay NSW
Saddle up, this is luxury ranch vibes with impeccably chic 70s cowboy interiors. Sun Ranch in the Byron hinterland is a blend of cosmic & cool - think sound healing & spicy margaritas. With horses on-site, a stunning pool, on-lake sauna plus a whiskey lounge, cowboy bar & communal sunken lounge lair.
IL DELFINO, YAMBA NSW
A reimagined seaside hotel with a playful Italian essence, il Delfino brings a bit of relaxed glamour to the coastal surf town of Yamba. More of an intimate guest house, the four suites each feel like your own private villa nestled into the cliffs overlooking the ocean. The philosophy here is an invitation for dolce far niente – the sweetness of doing nothing.
BANNISTERS, MOLLYMOOK NSW
Classic coastal luxe at its finest, Bannisters is stylish, contemporary and a celebration of the ocean. Three seperate properties make up the Bannisters family, and with Rick Stein dining options available - you can’t go wrong. Think sprawling ocean views, curated seafood menus, elegant blue & white interiors - all set to a dreamy soundtrack of the sea.
CASITA MOTEL, BATEHAVEN NSW
A mini boutique motel with big Spanish energy, Casita is the little pal of The Isla on the South Coast. Fun, funky and a little bit bolder - this little cutie provides a relaxed and convenient base to explore the region.
SEA SEA HOTEL, CRESENT HEAD NSW
70s minimalism meets modern sustainability, Sea Sea Hotel is about as cool as it gets. Laidback and unfussy - with exposed brick & timber cladding - this hotel embodies the essence of its unpretentious surf town home.
Osborn House, SOUTHERN HIGHLANDS NSW
If you’re more country than coastal but still want that endless summer feeling, you’ll find it by the pool at Osborn House, or with a glass of rosé watching the sunset over endless national park views.
